Our story
Before PareStripe, our founders spent years inside finance teams reconciling corporate card statements by hand, chasing employees for missing receipts, and rebuilding the same spreadsheet every month-end. Every existing tool solved one piece of the problem — a card here, an expense tool there — and none of them talked to each other.
So they built the tool they wished they'd had: one system where travel booking, card issuance, expense capture, and accounting sync all live together, with policy enforced automatically instead of reviewed after the fact.
Today, PareStripe is used by finance and people teams to manage well over two billion dollars in company spend a year — but the goal hasn't changed. Software should get out of the way so people can do the actual work.
Timeline
The first version of PareStripe was an internal tool built to reconcile a single company's card program. Word spread to a handful of other finance teams who wanted the same thing.
The company was formally founded, and the first version of the public platform — travel, cards, and expenses in one workspace — went into private beta with a small group of design partners.
PareStripe opened to all companies, added automated receipt matching, and crossed its first thousand customers by the end of the year.
Real-time card controls, deeper accounting integrations, and a rebuilt analytics layer shipped this year — see the press page for coverage.
